Those who have little data volume quickly reach their limits. But with a simple trick you can easily avoid unnecessary consumption under iOS.

You have 3 or 4 GB of data volume available per month, but are you annoyed when in the middle of the month that your speed is no longer even enough for surfing? In fact, there is a little trick you can use to prevent unnecessary consumption under iOS. There is a culprit who inadvertently needs a lot of data with Apple's mobile operating system. This is called "background update".

This is how you can prevent high consumption

First you have to go to “General” in the settings. There you will find a point called "Background Update". All your downloaded apps are located there. There you select apps that you rarely use or not at all and deactivate background use for them. According to this, the app can no longer quietly pull data from the Internet. The disadvantage: The app no longer gets updates and in most cases no longer sends notifications. The data volume should then last a little longer than usual.

And what about Android?

It's similar on Android. In the settings there is usually a point called “Apps” or “Applications”. This can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. There you can then deactivate the background activities individually. Both pixeldevices, the applications that are rarely used are even automatically recognized, so that the backgroundproprocess can be restricted automatically.
