Galaxy A80 presented by Samsung: the smartphone with the unique camera slider

Yes, Samsung's A-series is still available. This got a new addition yesterday with the Galaxy A80.
The A80 has a display with a diagonal of 6,7 inches, which has a resolution of 2.400 × 1.080 pixels, i.e. Full HD. So it is the same size as that of the Galaxy S10 5G. Inside, the Snapdragon 710, eight gigabytes of RAM and the 128 gigabytes of internal storage do their job. Android 9 and One UI. Samsung did without a headphone jack.
The specialty: the camera slider
Because the display has practically no edges, there is no room for a front camera. But Samsung solved the problem quite elegantly. If you want to take a selfie, the upper part of the back with the camera is extended with the help of a motor so that it can then rotate forwards. This means that all three sensors of the triple camera are available for selfie photos. The resolution of these is 48 megapixels and eight megapixels (wide angle). The third sensor serves as a time-of-flight camera.
Prices and availability
Samsung wants to offer the Galaxy A80 from May 2019 in black, silver and gold. Even if the final price has not yet been determined, it is assumed that the smartphone could cost around 500 to 600 euros.
