Amazon introduces five new Echo devices and Fire TV 4K with Alexa

Without any major announcement, Amazon presented new devices in a secret event at the headquarters yesterday. These are intended to expand the Echo family and offer some improvements over the first generation. There is also a new, compact version of the Fire TV 1K.
The Amazon Echo devices with Alexa are currently all the rage. Amazon has taken this as a reason to expand the family. Now there is a new Echo, an Echo Plus, Echo Buttons, Echo Connect and Echo Spot with their own touchscreen. In addition, there is also a new edition of the Amazon Fire TV.

Amazon Echo in a new redesign
The new Echo speaker comes with a new, compact design and better speaker. It is available in different colors and surfaces. These are, for example, anthracite, oak, gray, sandstone, silver and walnut. Compared to its predecessor, it is now also smaller and therefore more compact. Amazon also promises a new 2,5 inch downfire bass speaker. This should fill the rooms with clearer bass and treble. The new Amazon Echo will be available from us at the end of October at a price of € 99,99 on Amazon be available.

Amazon Echo Plus: with an integrated smart hub
There is now a plus model for the cheaper and more compact Echo. This is similar to the 1st generation Amazon Echo and has an integrated smart hub. So you can easily connect your smart devices with the Amazon Echo Plus configure. In addition, it also has the new loudspeaker and comes with improved speech recognition. Interested parties have to put € 149,99 on the table. It will be available together with the Echo at the end of October. For quick buyers, there is also a Philips Hue lamp on top for free.

Echo Show: the Alexa loudspeaker with touchscreen
The Echo Show comes with its own touchscreen and Alexa control. He also has a camera installed, for example for voice conferences. Up until now this was only available to certain countries - but from now on it will also come to us. This now also displays weather forecasts, videos and personal recommendations visually, but can still be controlled with Alexa. At a price of € 219,99, it will be available from us from mid-November.

Echo Spot: the alarm clock with Alexa voice control
In addition to the Echo Show, the Echo Spot also comes with an integrated camera and touchscreen. However, this is a bit smaller and should revolutionize the classic alarm clock on the bedside table. This should offer some practical alarm functions and can be conveniently controlled with Alexa. The Echo Spot will cost $ 130 and will be reserved for American customers for the time being.

Echo Connect: Telephony made easy with Amazon Echo
The Amazon Echo Connect makes it possible to make calls with Echo devices from a landline connection. With this it will be possible to call others comfortably via the landline number. This is controlled with an echo device - the EchoConnect serves only as an interface. This means that making calls via loudspeakers and Alexa integration should be very easy. At the beginning of 2018, the Echo Connect should be available from us at a previously unknown price.

The new Echo Buttons are also exciting. These should integrate with the player and Alexa and thus enable new multiplayer games via the Echo. At the push of a button, they can perform special functions and light up in different colors. The echo buttons are said to be too far for 19,99 euros and should be before Christmas available on amazon .

New Fire TV: 4K Ultra HD, Alexa controls and HDR
Last but not least, the group has presented a new Amazon Fire TV. This now comes in a diamond-like design and is connected directly to the television via HDMI. In addition, it now supports streaming of 4K content and HDR. With the included Alexa remote control you can control it very comfortably and execute commands in the smart home. Of the new Fire TV appears at the end of October and costs € 79,99 with us.
