Android 7.1.2 lists apps with high battery consumption
The battery life plays an important role in smartphones. This feature has been around for a long time in the modified Android version. This is intended to warn the user of apps with high battery consumption.
Users of a Google Pixel or Nexus smartphone can already test the feature. Since the second beta of Android 7.1.2, it has been permanently integrated into Android by default. It is currently somewhat hidden in a menu, but in the future it will use notifications to draw attention to power-hungry apps. Google calls this feature "Usage Alerts", in German "Consumption Alerts".
Menu lists apps with high battery consumption
The affected apps are listed in a submenu of the battery settings under Android. This should show how often the app was active and how much Procent she has consumed. As early testers report, the feature does not yet work in the Android 7.1.2 beta. Only an empty list is currently displayed here with the note "No alarms since last full charge".
In the final version, users should receive notifications in the status bar about power-hungry apps. These should also be able to be terminated directly, as known from Huawei's "EMUI". Otherwise there are no special features in Android 7.1.2. This update should concentrate exclusively on the stability and performance in Android Nougat. The official rollout of this version should take place in a few weeks. However, it could take a few more months for this update to arrive on all smartphones with Android Nougat.
Dear team behind TechnikNews!
Through a post by Martin on the blog http://technikbrain.de I came across this website. I think both websites are very successful and I think it's a shame that two rather smaller blogs don't work together and grow together.
Nowadays there are more and more blogs like Chip and Co which are paid by every company for an article. We are already so far that the reader has to check whether this news is true or not. I find it sad.
Maybe you will think about something - I will definitely be happy to visit both blogs by then.
Greetings from the beautiful Waldbronn,
Ulf
