Extended rights management of apps
With the new extended rights management, you should be able to better decide what to allow the app to access. This is not selected directly when the apps are installed, but only when this app wants access to the contact list, for example, can this be accepted or rejected. However, it should be possible to adjust the rights again afterwards.
Custom tabs for Google Chrome
The feature is more interesting for app developers. App developers can use Android M to integrate the Google browser directly into their apps, and as soon as you click on a link that appears in the app, the browser adapts to the same design as the one, if the developers have adjusted this App. You can also access the saved passwords from the app.
Doze and faster loading
With this feature, Google wants to increase the battery life of your smartphone. The motion sensor automatically detects as soon as you have not used the smartphone for a long time, and thus goes into a deeper standby mode. Of course, your SMS and calls will be received in this standby mode. According to an internal test by Google, this should double the battery life. In addition, the charging of the smartphone should happen even faster in the future.
Google Pay
There is also new information on the topic of payment, the previous service Google Wallet, which did not catch on, however, is being made a new start with Google Pay. We won't have this payment service yet, but it will all follow in the future.
Further information has not yet been given, but Google will certainly follow it. A release of Android M is planned for the third quarter of 2015.
