Besides Huawei Samsung is now also experimenting with Android Pie. One user has now even found a way to get a test build of the OS for the Galaxy S9 Plus. All information.

There is currently no beta version of Android Pie for any Samsung smartphone. Even the test build cannot yet be related to safe ways. However, there are detailed instructions for this on the XDA page. It is currently unclear when Android Pie will be available for the Galaxy S9 Plus or any other Samsung smartphone.

Design elements from Stock Android Pie and Night Theme

In this test build, which can be downloaded using the instructions just mentioned, there are still a lot of bugs and unfinished features. Still, you get an idea of what Samsung users can expect. On screenshots that can be seen at XDA, it can be seen that Samsung took over some elements from Stock Android Pie. The multitasking menu looks very similar to that on the Google Pixel. In addition, the corners were rounded off by a lot of elements.

Android 9.0 Pie is said to be based on Samsung's Experience 10.0 user interface. Samsung is still adding additional features and design elements to this UI. For example, you can see what the new Night Theme looks like on the screen recordings. This is a dark mode that is intended to save battery life, especially on smartphones with AMOLED screens. In addition, the quick settings and the navigation buttons have been redesigned.

We won't see what the final build of Android 9.0 Pie looks like on Samsung smartphones for a few months.
