Android Q: New gesture control should replace the "Back" button

Google has revised the gesture control in the latest beta of Android Q. In Android Pie there is currently a "back" button, but this is set to disappear with Android Q. Now they have apparently come up with a new solution for this problem.
We already knew in February of this year that Google would probably be able to use the new gesture control "Back" button will be crushed. But not all have made friends with the current gesture controls in Android Pie. While this can be activated optionally for all smartphones, it is already activated by default on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. This cannot be changed without modification (i.e. without root). We also have this point in ours Test report for the Pixel 3 XL criticized. Still, Google wants to go ahead and make gesture control the standard on all Android devices in the future.
New "back" gesture in Android Q
While the gesture control does not create any new space in Android Pie, since the entire bar is still used below, this should change under Android Q. This then resembles the one on the iPhone X and is then just a "line" at the bottom. The gestures are then identical to those from iOS - apparently only the "Back" button should remain. This should supposedly be replaced by a point on the edge. But it doesn't come to that now, you have now come up with something new.
how Android Police now reported, you should be able to simply swipe from the left or right edge of the screen to get to the previous screen. This should work in every app and from every position on the edge. But it could be critical if you have to swipe a menu from the left or right into the middle in certain apps. We have included the video of what it should look like below.
