App Store: Subscriptions and in-app purchases can now be shared with the family
Apple family sharing has previously offered benefits such as sharing app purchases. Subscriptions and in-app purchases can now also be shared.
Developers who build subscriptions and in-app purchases into their apps can now allow users to share them with their families. If you don't know: You can add family members to your Apple ID via iCloud. Among other things, this offers plus points such as mutual tracking via “Where is?”. So far, only purchased apps, his Apple Arcade and Apple TV + subscriptions could be released to people who were added to his family via iCloud. That changed now.
However, it is not enough just to activate the approval by the developer of an app. You yourself have to grant that too. To do this, go to iCloud and Subscriptions in the settings and select an app whose purchases you would like to make usable for your family members. If the developer has given the approval, a "Share with the family" button appears. You have to put it down, that's it. In addition, before selecting an app, there is the option that new subscriptions are automatically activated for approval.
