Apple App Clip: Apple QR codes now available
With iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 introduced Apple App Clip. This allows small parts of an appproted without it being fully installed. Now the QR codes developed by the company are available.
App developers can provide an App Clip so that small parts of itprocan be beer. This Apple App Clip will then be deleted after a while unless the full app is installed manually. This is useful, for example, with apps for buying a parking ticket, since you can make use of the core functionality without significantly using up the memory of the iPhone or iPad. Such a "demo" can be called up via a URL or via an NFC tag, among other things. And also via special images from Apple that look like QR codes.
With the update to iOS and iPadOS 14.3, Apple is building support for these into the operating system. At the same time, developers can now generate these Apple app clip codes if one of their apps offers a clip. You can read such a QR code using the QR scanner in the control center on the iPhone or using the camera app. The app can then be started via a window that opens.
