As already announced, Apple is introducing new Macs this week. The first to be updated is the Apple iMac with a 24-inch display.

Even though this year’s Apple iMac is pretty much the same as his predecessor looks, it has a lot to offer.

The first thing the computer received was the latest Apple Silicon, the M4. This primarily enables the use of features under the “Apple Intelligence” branding, such as the ability to rewrite text in a certain way. The only restriction is that the functions are initially only available in English and until April are not available on iPhones and iPads. The first Intelligence features can be used today with macOS Sequoia 15.1 fromprobe beer.

There are also three new features in the casing. The first is that there is an option with nano-textured glass starting this year. The second concerns the USB-C ports on the back, all of which support Thunderbolt 4 for faster data speeds. Last but not least, the front camera has been further developed.

The new iMac can be pre-ordered starting today and will be available from November 8th. The starting price is 1.499 euros.

Updated peripherals

What is also worth mentioning is that Apple's official peripherals have been improved. They now have a USB-C connector instead of a Lightning connector, which is a year overdue.
