Apple could introduce a new monitor for Macs

Apple does have that Pro Display XDR in the range, but this is expensive. However, a cheaper monitor is said to be in the works, which has now been confirmed once again by journalist Mark Gurman.

Just by looking at the data sheet of the Pro Display XDR should make it clear that this is not a monitor for the average Joe. Among other things, Apple equipped the device with a 32-inch 6K screen and is thus clearly aimed at people who deal with video editing or photo editing, for example. The price is correspondingly different: You can get it via the company’s homepage Product not less than around 5500 euros. If you also want the stand, you have to pay around 1000 euros more.

Many therefore want a cheaper screen and based on various rumors one can also assume that one is in development. This has now been confirmed again by the journalist Mark Gurman.

Cheaper Apple monitor in the coming year?

In fact, in response to a question in the Q&A section of his newsletter, he writes that he believes very strongly that Apple will do just that Product will present. He also assumes that with a few adjustments this is already half the price of the Pro Display XDR could come to market. Gurman is often correct in his guesses, so there's a chance this could happen as well.

When this display will be ready for sale is currently unknown. New Macs will probably be presented in the spring, which would be a good opportunity. Otherwise, late autumn would be an option, as new Macs have also been introduced here in recent years.
