What a thing with the new Apple MacBook Pro immediately catches the eye, is the new notch. Apple now thinks that this is a "very clever" design feature.

Apple has been using a notch since the iPhone X. Even then, opinions on this split, but now the majority agrees that the notch is no longer noticeable after a while. It also offers space on the iPhone for the sensors for Face ID. Now the company dared to take the next step and also brought the notch into the new MacBooks. Since there was a lot of displeasure in this regard, Apple has now commented on this design decision.

Apple MacBook Pro: More work space thanks to notch

At first glance, you might think that the cutout in the MacBook Pro would offer no benefit. Shruti Haldea, the "Pro Mac Product Line” manager, however, has a different opinion. She argues that the notch increases the usable display area because the menu bar is now higher up and out of the way. She also notes that the small area disappears in full screen mode anyway.

The new Apple MacBook Pro is available from today. The cheapest model is available for around 2200 euros.
