A month ago, Apple made one to the German tourism association because of the similarity of the logo Proproject name apple route Prostated problems. Now Apple gave in.
What is the apple route anyway? This is a cycle path in the German Rhineland with a length of 120 kilometers. That ProThe problem is that Apple found out about it and the German Tourist Association Probleme because of the similarity of the logo. It was believed in Cupertino that the symbol with the opening and the green leaf looked too similar to their own apple and an objection was filed with the patent office in Germany. Now an agreement has been reached - the logo can remain as it is.
Apple route logo: Use with restrictions
The apple route logo can remain as it was originally submitted to the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA). To do this, however, you had to add an addition to the trademark entry. This is to ensure that the logo is used “exclusively with reference to a cycle path through the apple-growing region Rhein-Voreifel”. Apple's objection proceedings have now ended, as the DPMA announced.
