The new language assistant Cortana for Windows 10 it should also be available for download as an app for Android and iOS in the future. This has today Microsoft on the official blog approved.

The announced Phone Companion App for Android and iOS should help users to use Microsoft apps such as OneDrive, OneNote, Skype, Office and Outlook across devices with the PC. This should also apply to Cortana. For example, if you enter a reminder on your smartphone, it will automatically be transferred to Windows 10. So the desktop PC with Windows 10 and the smartphone will work together specifically.

Cortana does not offer the full range of functions on the smartphone

The blog entry states that Cortana with the app will not offer all the functions, such as language support in apps, waking up Cortana, etc. as on the desktop PC. Because of the system, Cortana under Android should not have the same access to information and other services on the smartphone as is the case on the computer. But that won't be the case either Proproblem, because you can ask Cortana about the weather, sports results, traffic, etc. on the app.

The Cortana Companion app for Android will still be available for Android users at the end of July, but iOS users will have to look into the tube for a few months longer, because the app will not appear for them until later in the year. Cortana will be on the computer at the same time as the release of Windows 10. However, Microsoft also points out here that it is Cortana "Cortana will be available on Windows 10 at launch in select markets.“Will only exist in certain markets.
