The retro cell phone is back. Nokia presented the revised Nokia 3310 at the MWC in Barcelona. However, it is not a smartphone, but a cell phone only for making calls and texting.

It was a long time ago: the Nokia 2000 was presented for the first time in the fourth quarter of 3310. Now it's back in a revised and contemporary version. Although it doesn't have a touchscreen, it now has a better battery and a color display on board.

The 2,4 inch mobile phone comes with a new color display with a resolution of 240 × 320 pixels. It also has 512MB of RAM and an internal memory of 16 megabytes. This can be expanded to up to 32GB using a microSD card. There is also the well-known FM tuner, which uses the headphones as an antenna. These can be easily connected using a jack plug. The cult mobile phone does not have a touchscreen: it is operated the old-fashioned way using the keyboard.

The main camera with a flash is located on the back. It is suitable for "simple snapshots" and shoots them with a resolution of 2 megapixels. In addition to the telephone and SMS functions, you can also play Snake. The replaceable 1200mAh battery offers a talk time of up to 22 hours and a standby time of up to 30 days. This is charged via micro USB.

Price and availability

The Nokia 3310 should come on the market this year and cost 49 euros. The colors red, black, yellow and gray are available.
