Facebook F8

Within the Facebook F8 announced a new design of the social network for all platforms. This also brings with it a new app icon, which is now being used on iOS.

At the F8, Facebook announced a new design language called FB5, which simplifies the surface of the social network. It is also intended to highlight the individual groups that you follow. The changes came into effect in the app for iOS soon after the event, but the old icon remained - for the time being.

Now Facebook is also distributing the new symbol. The shade of blue is now a little lighter and the "f" has now been moved a little more towards the center. The blue is now the same as the icon for the messenger. The updated icon is currently not available for Android users.

Update: Some Android users already have the new icon. (Thanks, Josch!)

Chris

I have the new Facebook icon on my Android 7.1.1?

Josh,

Is different on Android too. Just for info.

But otherwise the news is pretty irrelevant, to my liking 😀
