Fortnite for Android: You can now play the game on these smartphones

At the same time as the presentation of the Galaxy Note 9 the developers started the beta phase for Fortnite for Android yesterday. So far, Fortnite is exclusively available for this device. But there is also official information about which other devices are compatible.

Yesterday Epic Games launched the beta phase for Fortnite for Android. The game is currently only reserved for Samsung smartphones – but only exclusively for a few days. But not only users of the Galaxy Note 9 can already play the game probeer, other Samsung smartphones can already gamble. However, one thing remains reserved for the users of a Note 9: only with this smartphone can you get the exclusive Galaxy skin. In this article we show all compatible smartphones for Fortnite for Android.

Fortnite for Android: You can play the game with these smartphones

The following users of a Samsung smartphone can now exclusively play the game for a few daysprobeer: S7 & S7 Edge, S8 & S8 Plus, S9 & S9 Plus, Note 8 and Note 9. With the tablets Tab S3 and Tab S4 the game is now also playable. It will take a while for other compatible smartphones - that was the deal with Samsung. In the coming weeks, however, the following devices will be compatible:

  • OnePlus: 5 & 5T, 6
  • Razer: Phone
  • Xiaomi: Blackshark, Mi 5 & 5S & 5S Plus, 6 & 6 Plus, Mi 8 & 8 Explorer & 8SE, Mi Mix, Mi Mix 2, Mi Mix 2S, Mi Note 2
  • ZTE: Axon 7 & 7s, Axon M, Nubia & Z17 & Z17s, Nubia Z11

If your phone isn't listed here, it may not qualify for Fortnite on Android. Your smartphone must definitely meet the following:

  • Operating system: 64-bit Android 6.0 Lollipop or higher
  • RAM: 3 GB or more
  • GPU: Adreno 530 or higher, Mali-G71 MP20, Mali-G72 MP12 or higher

Fortnite for Android: when does it start for other smartphones?

For compatible smartphones, which are mentioned above, patience is still required. The beta test for these smartphones will start in waves in a few weeks - you have to sign up for the Android beta here. These invitations were also given when Fortnite was released for iOS. If your smartphone is not already listed above, don't worry: According to Epic Games, more and more new smartphones are being added. These smartphones are only supported for the first beta test.

Fortnite for Android: Download the app now anyway

Despite this limitation, they are already now on XDA-Developers modified versions of the app appeared. These cancel the smartphone verification and Fortnite then starts on every supported smartphone. The app fakes the Fortnite servers to be a Galaxy Note 9 and thus bypasses the lock.
