Before the Samsung event in October, the Koreans presented the Galaxy A7. The mid-range smartphone comes with a triple camera for the first time. In addition to these aspects, the rest of the package also looks neat.

The first triple camera at Samsung in general is here. A few weeks ago, Samsung only announced that it would always install new features in the mid-range. With this new strategy, you want to focus on the middle class again and only then build the features into the more expensive models. We'll go through all the specs.

Galaxy A7 (2018): It's inside

The Galaxy A7 (2018) has a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels. An unspecified octa-core SoC with 2,2 GHz works under the hood. For multitasking and apps in the background, you can choose between 4 and 8 gigabytes of RAM. With internal storage you can choose between 64 and 128 GB. The smartphone can be expanded by up to 512 gigabytes using a microSD card.

The camera is a triple camera for the first time in the history of Samsung smartphones. It has a resolution of 24 megapixels and has an f / 1.7 aperture. It is supported by a 5 megapixel lens for capturing depth information and an 8 MP 120 degree wide-angle camera. The front camera has a resolution of 24 megapixels, there is no front flash and autofocus.

The battery is 3300 mAh strong and does not support a quick charge function. In addition, the fingerprint sensor is not located on the front or back, but in the frame of the smartphone. More precisely on the lower right side. The operating system installed is (unfortunately still) Android 8.0 Oreo. It is unclear when an update to Android 9 will follow. As extras there are NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 and WLAN with 2,4 and 5 Ghz.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) will be available in stores from the end of September 2018 at a price of 349 euros. The colors are blue, gold and black to choose from.
