The Google Pixel 4a, which has been presented for a few weeks, is getting a big brother with the upcoming Google Pixel 4a 5G. Contrary to what the name suggests, the device is not just a Pixel 4a with 5G, but a better smartphone in many respects.

Google Pixel 4a 5G: design
There are hardly any differences to the Pixel 4a on the front: A large display with a punch hole in the upper left corner and relatively thin display bezels. So, except for the slightly larger display, everything is identical.

Even when looking at the back, you won't notice any big differences straight away. However, if you take a closer look, you will notice slight differences: The camera module of the Pixel 4a 5G is slightly larger and contains two cameras instead of just one camera. In addition, the back should consist of matt polycarbonate.

The upcoming 5G smartphone from Google is said to be equipped with a 6,2-inch FHD + OLED display and unfortunately does not offer a smooth refresh rate of 90Hz, but only a refresh rate of 60Hz.
Under the hood, a 5G processor will be used for the first time in a Pixel smartphone, namely the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G. This is a powerful mid-range processor that is already used in many current smartphones, such as the OnePlus Northis installed. To the side are 6 GB RAM and 128 GB flash memory.
One of the highlights of all Pixel smartphones has always been the clean software. The Google Pixel 4a 5G is of course no different. Pure stock Android, version 11, should be used here.
The battery should be 3800mAh and can be recharged with up to 18W via the USB Type-C port. Unlike the Pixel 4 flagships, wireless charging is unfortunately not to be supported.
It's going to be exciting with the cameras. Google is said to use a dual camera for the Pixel 4a 5G, consisting of a 12,2 MP main camera and a 16 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. So it should be the first pixel smartphone that is equipped with an ultra-wide-angle camera. With the main camera, 4K videos with up to 60 FPS should be possible. The front camera should resolve with 8 MP and only be able to record FHD recordings with up to 30 FPS.
In addition, the Pixel 4a 5G should be equipped with stereo speakers, e-SIM, jack and of course a USB-C port.
