The Google Pixel 6 will use one developed by Google Prouse processor. There have been rumors about it since last year, now there are new reports.

Like the news portal 9to5Google According to its own sources, the Google Pixel 6 will use an in-house SoC. There have been rumors about it since 2020, the earliest being a forum entry in a Korean Forum assign. At an investor conference this year, Google already announced major investments in the hardware division and a “grandiose road map”. Internally, the development of the company's own chips is to run under the code name “Whitechapel”, the first finished chip is called “GS101”. 9to5Google speculates that the chips may be called “Google Silicon” (because of “GS”), but cannot finally confirm this.

The code name "Slider" appears again and again in other documents. This seems to be a platform for the in-house SoC. Samsung also contributes to the development of its own Google chip, Google seems to have bought licenses for the use of some Samsung software components. The first two smartphones with the "GS101" Prozessor are being developed under the codenames "Raven" and "Oriole" and are expected to be the Pixel 6 and the successor to the Google Pixel 4a with 5G. The name "Pixel 6" is considered certain, whether the second device will be called "Pixel 5a with 5G" is unclear at this point.

In short: The next pixel smartphones in the fall will no longer be equipped with QualcommProbe equipped with cessors. Like Apple or Samsung, Google develops its own Processors, Samsung was also involved in the development of the Google SoC, or is still doing so.
