Spotify has bad cards: Google Play Music now with free music streaming
Google now also wants to participate as a competitor in free music streaming. Apple Music also recently announced plans to move into free music streaming. So that Google does not go under with the current paid streaming subscription, Google is now also offering this service for users.
Now Google is also there: with the free streaming, which is currently very popular with users. Apple recently announced plans to start streaming free music soon, which is now available on the German Apple website gets confirmed. Of course, Google also wants to hold the ball and is now also offering free streaming, which in the past was only available for a fee as a subscription in “Google Music”. As is the case with most releases, the offer is currently only available to users in the USA. IOS users will also be able to download the “Google Play Music” app in the future, directly from the App Store. The song lists will then be sorted by mood, genre and topic.
Disadvantages for users who do not have a paid subscription
Of course, there is a catch here too: users who do not have a paid "Google Play Music Stream subscription" cannot enjoy the streaming to the fullest. Then pro The user can only skip six songs per hour, so you can pause and start the songs again, but you can't fast forward or rewind. Another disadvantage: you can't see which song will be played next in the playlist. In addition, the new streaming from Google will feature commercials in the playlist.
I think both Google and Apple have been too slow here. Just take Spotify or even last.fm! I think the latter service is best but unfortunately screwed up
Hello Theresa!
Google has definitely missed the jump on the bandwagon - but Apple can score points with its Apple Music users, mostly iOS users.
As far as I know, last.fm is more in the direction of internet radio and might not be that interesting for some.
