A wonderful idea. I would be really happy if Google succeeds in doing this in Germany as well.
The public should be connected to the world even without expensive cell phone tariffs: that seems to be the goal of Google Station.
With a new one ProWith a project called Google Station, Google wants to take another new step in public WiFi in India. India is one of the biggest growth markets for mobile internet. Currently profits India the most, since special apps and other Google services start directly in India and are therefore tested.
Train stations are first on the list
Google has in common with RailTel decided to equip the stations in India with WiFi. On the Google Station Webseite it is also announced that Proproject should not only find its place in India: in the future other countries should too procan fit.

Partners are always welcome
Even if Google has already achieved a lot, the partners play a very important role here. Anyone who wants to support Google in India can get in touch at any time. The main task of Google is to look after the infrastructure for the WLAN and to manage the structure of the entire network. Ultimately, Google wants to provide a fast, secure, yet public network.
