Honor MagicBook Pro (2019): Introduced 16-inch laptop at a reasonable price
After the "normal" MagicBook in 2019, Honor now has the MagicBook Pro shown in 2019. Together with this, the Honor Band 5 was officially announced. But the latter has been since Amazon Prime Day known. The Honor Magic Book Pro (2019), on the other hand, is more of a surprise.
Huawei and Honor have been selling notebooks for a long time - one or the other should have noticed that. About with that Huawei MateBook X Prowhich we also refer to here TechnikNews have tested. However, the Honor MagicBooks cannot be bought directly from, which is why they are rather unknown. It was already known some time ago that there would be a new Honor notebook - we have here reported. A new member in the family is now the Honor MagicBook Pro (2019). The improved version of the MagicBook (2019) comes with 16 inches, newer graphics card and better Proprocessor.
Honor MagicBook Pro (2019): The technical data
While other blogs sometimes have incorrect data on the notebook, we have the right ones here:
The biggest difference to the weaker MagicBook (2019) is the size and some technical data. In addition to a 16,1 inch full HD display, there is now an Nvidia MX250 graphics card - instead of an MX150. The front generally looks very large, not least because of the very thin display edges. In terms of weight, the Honor MagicBook brings Pro (2019) weighed 1,7 kilograms. The dimensions are made up of 37 x 23 x 1,7 cm.
An Intel i5-8265U runs under the hood of the base model Proprocessor. The slightly more expensive version is equipped with an i7-8265U. For comparison: an i7-8550U is installed in the MagicBook. In the CPU benchmark is the current one Prozessor better off by around 700 points. There is 8 GB or 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB or 1 TB of internal solid-state disk storage (SSD). The battery has a capacity of 57 WH. A 3,5mm jack socket, HDMI port, 3x USB 3.0 Type-A and a USB-C port are available as interfaces. There is no support for Thunderbolt 3.
Honor MagicBook Pro (2019): Prices and availability
Let's get to the price and availability. Officially, we shouldn't have the laptop in Germany or Austria. The prices are the equivalent of 715 euros for the cheapest model (i5-8265U, 8 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD). If you want an i7 here, you pay around 100 euros on top. From August there will also be a top version with i7-8550U, 16 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD for 1040 euros. The notebook is sold through China dealers, such as TradingShenzhen or Gearbest get to buy.
But be careful when you get the notebook from China: there is only the QUERTY keyboard format and Windows 10 in Chinese. The latter can of course also be reinstalled in German.
the article says MX250 instead of GTX 150
