Huawei: Manufacturer remains on the blacklist under Joe Biden
Huawei has had an extremely difficult time in recent months, because due to the US sanctions they have to do without Google services and gradually the in-house KirinProgoing out cessors. Accordingly, hopes for improvement were high when Joe Biden was elected the new President.
Unfortunately, everything remains the same for Huawei for the time being, because the Minister of Commerce Gina Raimondo stated that she saw “no reason” to remove the manufacturer or other Chinese providers from the list. She recently said this in a statement to the Republican parliamentary group in the Senate. So it will be very difficult for Huawei in the future, especially in Europe.
I understand that companies are on the Entity List and the Military End User List because they pose a risk to US national security or international relations. I currently have no reason to assume that the actors on these lists should not be on them.
