A few days ago there was news about the Huawei P Smart Z. The first Huawei smartphone with retractable camera has so far only been shown in Italy - now it is officially coming to us in Germany and Austria.

We were a little unsure whether the smartphone with a pop-up camera would make it to us. Now, with the Huawei P Smart Z, a new mid-range smartphone has been presented. The equipment is sufficient, but accordingly the smartphone costs rather little. We have all the details and specs for you.

Huawei P Smart Z: good equipment, retractable camera

The new mid-range smartphone from Huawei weighs 196,8 grams and comes with a 6,59-inch FHD + (2.340 x 1.080 pixels) display. There is no notch - i.e. display recess - on the upper edge of the display, but there is a retractable camera. We already know this from OnePlus 7 Pro. Inside is a Kirin 710F, along with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The latter can be expanded up to 512 GB using a micro SD card.

The dual camera on the back has a resolution of 16 MP and 2 megapixels (depth of field), the front camera with 16 megapixels. Don't worry if you take a lot of selfies: it should be able to retract and extend up to 100.000 times. If the smartphone detects a fall to the ground, the camera also retracts automatically. The software runs on EMUI 9.0 with Android 9 Pie.

The battery has a capacity of 4000 mAh, and Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, WLAN 802.11ac are also on board. The P Smart Z should soon be available in Germany - Austria should follow a little later. The smartphone is priced at 270 euros. The colors available are black, blue and green. On the Huawei website there is more information.
