iOS 10.3 Beta 2 brings better performance and cinema mode

Just a few days ago Apple released the iOS 10.3 beta. Among other things, this significantly increased performance thanks to the new file system. But now the next beta is coming - with a practical cinema mode.

For a few days now, registered developers have been able to test the performance boost provided by the new "APFS" (Apple File System). Now there is the next update. In addition to the pre-release versions for watchOS and tvOS, Apple is bringing cinema mode with this beta. This keeps the iPhone dark during a performance and should only notify the user by vibration. It is questionable whether this is really needed.

This is also new in the iOS 10.3 beta

Additionally, Apple has re-enabled a handy feature with the latest beta. In the last beta, for example, it was not possible to block specific numbers. Also fixed a bug where the Apple Pencil would connect to the iPad Pro not procharge without problems. As with every beta, Apple has also screwed on the performance here. With the release of iOS 10.3, this will increase noticeably for all users - due to the new Apple File System. This not only loads apps faster, it also shortens the startup process. Technical details of the new file system are not yet known.

These devices receive the iOS 10.3 beta

If you lose or misplace your Apple Airpods, iOS 10.3 beta lets you find them using the Find My iPhone feature. As with Android, developers can now ask for a user rating directly in an app without having to go to the App Store - a rating is of course voluntary for every app. All registered developers with devices iPhone 5 and later, iPad 2 Mini or later, iPad 4, iPad Air and -Pro or the 6th generation iPod Touch will get the pre-release version. However, it may take some time before the update appears for all users.
