Lenovo Tech Life took place yesterday evening, where some new Proproducts were presented. Here you will find the most exciting news.

ThinkBook 14 and ThinkBook 15

Some time ago appeared here at TechnikNews a review of the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s. This is a compact notebook that is cheap and yet comes with more than enough power for the day. However, until now there was only the 13-inch model. Therefore, the company followed suit at IFA 2019 and unveiled the ThinkBook 14 and ThinkBook 15. A tenth generation Intel Core i7 with six cores with four gigabytes of RAM and one terabyte of memory is used in both devices. However, there are differences in the built-in graphics unit; the Radeon 620 does its job here in the 14-inch model, the Radeon 625 is used in the 15-inch model. The appearance of the new notebooks hardly differs from the ThinkBook 13s.

Both new notebooks can be found on the shelves from November 2019. The ThinkBook 14 starts at 675 euros, the ThinkBook 15 starts at 665 euros.

Lenovo SmartDisplay 7

With the Smart Display, Lenovo was the first to bring such a device with Google Assistant to the market. Now the successor - the Lenovo Smart Display 7 - came to the IFA 2019 in Berlin. Nothing has changed in the features of the device, but a lot has changed in the design of the speaker. The speaker is now under the shrunk display, which is now only seven inches tall. The ThinkShutter for the webcam and the mute switch for the microphones can be found on the back.

The Smart Display 7 will be launched in October. The price is 129 euros. So it is a lot cheaper than the two previous models.

Lenovo Smart Tab M8

The Smart Tab M8 is another Android tablet from the manufacturer. But it has a special feature: If you put it in the corresponding dock, it turns into a Google Assistant speaker. Then you can ask, for example, “Hey Google, how's the weather going to be today?” And the device spits out the answer through the built-in loudspeakers.

The Smart Tab M8 costs 149 euros and will be in stores from next October.

Lenovo Yoga C940

At the beginning of the year we tested the Yoga C930. Now at the IFA we are getting the successor, the C940. As soon as you look you notice that some things have changed. The display hinge, which also functions as a soundbar, no longer has a gap, the ports are now mainly based on Thunderbolt 3 and the slot for the stylus has moved to the right. Another new feature is that a 14- and 15-inch version is available for purchase. With both, you can choose between the Full HD and the 4K version.

The 14-inch model comes with an IntelProtenth generation processor, you can choose between an i5 and an i7. A ninth-generation i15 and i7 are available for the 9-inch version. Depending on the configuration, there is also between 8 gigabytes and 16 gigabytes of RAM.

The C940 should also be available from October. Cost: 1.250 euros (14 inches) and 1.710 euros (15 inches).

Lenovo IdeaPad S340

The IdeaPad S340 is the device that just slips into a pocket. Nevertheless, an IntelProtenth generation processor ensures that every conceivable job can be done on the go. There is also between 8 gigabytes and 16 gigabytes of RAM. The notebook is available in three colors: grey, blue and pink.

It is currently unknown when the device will be launched and how much it will cost.

Moto One Zoom

There was also an interesting smartphone, namely the Moto One Zoom. It's another smartphone in the Moto One range, but it's not an ordinary one. It is the first device with a quad camera on the back. The specs of these are similar to those of the cameras on top smartphones, Lenovo delivered decent here. It is also worth mentioning that the device does not run Android One, but pure Android 9. Here are some other interesting technical data:

  • 6,39 inch OLED display with full HD resolution
  • 4.000 mAh battery
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 675
  • Four gigabytes of RAM

The Moto One Zoom is available from today for 379 euros.
