LG V40 ThinQ presented: The smartphone with triple and dual cameras
LG's newest flagship now owns that as well P20 Pro Huawei has three cameras on the back. There is even a dual camera on the front for even better selfies. The aim here is clearly to leave the competition in the photography sector behind.
A lot has changed at LG compared to its predecessor. For example, the LG V40 ThinQ has a 6,4-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 3120 x 1440 pixels. No LG display has ever been this sharp - but such a high resolution also has a lot to do with the battery. The five-camera setup also makes the smartphone interesting for all those who take a lot of photography and selfie experts.
Top equipment, small battery
Inside the LG V40 ThinQ is the latest Snapdragon 845 processor, along with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Let's take a look at the camera configuration: The main camera offers a super wide-angle lens with 16 megapixels (F/1.9), a normal wide-angle lens with 12 MP (F/1.5) and a telephoto lens with 12 MP (F/2.4). On the front there is a dual camera with 8 and 5 megapixels. The cameras have what is known as "triple preview". With this function you can display a preview of the three lenses in the camera app. If you wish, you can also create a GIF with the transition between the three images.
The fun also has a catch: The battery of the LG V40 ThinQ with its 3300 mAh looks quite small in comparison. With such a high resolution and the five cameras, proper optimization in the software is necessary. Oh yes, software: Android 8.1 will be used here at the market launch.
The LG V40 ThinQ will be available in the US from October 18 for just under $ 1000. When it will be launched in this country is just as unknown as the prices for the European market. However, these are guaranteed not to be small.
