Map Maker: Google temporarily discontinues service
Because of the recent Google Maps glitch, where you saw a little Android male peeing on an apple, fun is over now, at least on Google. This is why the Google Map Maker service has been deactivated from today, probably temporarily. The group is now working on enhanced spam protection.
It happened at the end of April: a user took advantage of Google's maker service, with which you can edit Google Maps, and added an Android male that urinates on Apple's apple. After a few hours, the very embarrassing little man had been removed by Google again. However, this is not without consequences: Google had to officially apologize to the Apple group, in one of them Google discussion forum.
When will the service be reactivated?
It is not known when the service can be used again, as the company has not yet been able to provide any specific figures. But Google is currently working on enhanced spam protection for the Maps Maker. Therefore, all objects added by users with the Google Map Maker are currently being checked. In the future, users will even be able to report incidents on Google directly in Google Maps.
