An Excel spreadsheet is currently making the rounds on the Internet, containing the data of over 90.000 Mastercard owners. About the German Priceless bonusprograms this data has been lost. People from Germany are mainly affected.

The leaked list contains the names, phone numbers, addresses, email addresses and credit card numbers of over 90.000 Mastercard users. The Priceless Bonusprogram promised some great offers that you can use with your Mastercard. Now the whole thing seems to have backfired: the data is public. However, the site has been temporarily taken offline.

Mastercard provides information on the start page, but not directly

“You have Mastercard on one Proproblem related to our Priceless Specials platform. We take privacy very seriously and investigate it Problem with high pressure. As a precaution, we immediately closed the Priceless Specials platform. This Problem has no impact and is not related to the Mastercard payment network,” the home page reads. So far, however, no customers have been personally informed by e-mail. If you have any questions, you should contact support@specials.mastercard.de. However, those who are affected can easily check this.

Mastercard data leak: am I affected?

With the Identity Leak Checker of the Hasso Plattner Institute you can check whether you are on the list of the Mastercard data leak yourself. First you have to enter your email address, then you will receive a summary by email. It lists exactly which personal data has been lost. If your own credit card number is leaked, you should have your Mastercard blocked at the bank immediately. This is usually exchanged free of charge. It is best to ask the bank directly.

Does it make sense for those affected to pay compensation, for example via https://eugd.org/schadenersatz/mastercard-priceless/ to promote?
