Microsoft event in October 2018: Surface Pro 6, Surface Laptop 2, Surface Studio 2 and Surface Headphones

Surface Pro 6
The Surface Pro 6, as expected, looks the same as its predecessors. There is only a new black color variant, which admittedly looks really good. The negative thing is that there is no USB-C port or Thunderbolt port, although the Surface Go and the Surface Book 2, which were announced before the Surface Pro 6, have one. The PixelSense display supports the Surface Pen as usual and is 12,3 inches in size. Inside, every configuration has eighth-generation quad-core Intel processors. To make this possible, Microsoft improved the cooling system. The processor is supported by a maximum of 16 gigabytes of RAM, and the battery should last 13,5 hours. The Surface Pro 6 can be pre-ordered now for a price of 899 euros.

2 Laptop Surface
The Surface Laptop 2 also looks very similar to its predecessor. And here too there is now a black color option. Only the keyboard has been redesigned, which should now allow for quieter and easier typing. Just like the Surface Pro 6, the Surface Laptop 2 does not have a USB-C port. The eighth-generation Intel processors with four cores that power the Surface Laptop 2 are supported by up to 16 gigabytes of RAM. The battery should keep this combination alive for 14,5 hours. The Surface Laptop can now be pre-ordered for a price of 1149 euros.

Surface Studio 2
The Surface Studio 2 is said to be the "fastest Surface ever". This is made possible by the new graphics chip from Nvidia, which is said to offer 50 percent more graphics power. There is also a two terabyte SSD and the eighth generation Intel Core i7 with 16 gigabytes of RAM. Visually, everything remains identical to its predecessor. The display is again 28 inches, but now brighter and with higher contrast. The Surface Studio 2 can be pre-ordered for a price of 3499 US dollars.

Surface Headphones
The Surface Headphones are over-ear headphones and the first headphones ever in the Surface range. They support their own voice assistant Cortana and a thirteen-step ANC (Noice-Canceling). To control playback, there is a touchpad on the right side of the headphones. A special feature are the two rotating rings that are located next to the two ear cushions. Turning the right wheel changes the volume and turning the left wheel adjusts noise canceling. Microsoft has not yet announced a price for the Surface Headphones.

In addition to the new Surface products, it was announced that the Windows 10 October 2018 Update is now available for download. This includes a new cloud clipboard and support for the new app called Your Phone. This app is also available now and allows you to control your smartphone via your PC.
