The new Smartwatch from Apple was presented about a month ago. Now there is information about a first update for the Apple Watch. The new update should bring more functions for the watch itself, and contain new security features.

The new one isn't even that long Watch the market, and the first major software update is imminent, this bug fix (of course), new security features and the range of functions of the Apple Watch itself should increase, this comes from a report by 9to5Mac Hervor.

Apple would also like to work for the safety of Apple Watch users, because in the future it should no longer be possible to reset the watch without a security code, which would make theft pointless. Because at the moment you can easily bypass the security code: you simply reset the device to the factory settings and use it again as normal. Furthermore, there should be a possibility to find the lost smartwatch again by means of a location function. With the update, there should even be support for the Apple TV for the Apple Watch, because you should be able to use the watch as a remote control for the Apple TV in the future.

New fitness features in sight

The Apple Watch has a heart rate monitor, which so far can only measure the heart rate. This should also change in the future: there should be a possibility of even measuring the oxygen content of the blood with the sensor. Likewise, it cannot be ruled out that there should be a function for measuring the sleep rhythm, which should then provide special data on sleep. The update should also provide entertainment alongside the clock - with the help of small widgets. Twitter is currently even working on a first widget for the Apple Watch, which will display the number of new tweets.

Update May 20, 2015: Yesterday the update was described as a rumor, today it became a reality: the version 1.0.1 for the Apple Watch is there. Third-party apps are now supported and the Siri search assistant has been improved. But there is still good news: some of the many new emojis in iOS 8.3 are now also available on the watch. The watch now also supports several languages such as Thai, Turkish, Danish, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian and Swedish. Unfortunately, there is bad news for those who were happy about the new features: the features are not yet included in the new update, but could be added in the next updates of the Apple Watch.
