With the Nothing Phone (1), the London manufacturer presents its first smartphone. We have all the information about the mid-range smartphone.

The Nothing Phone 1 is a mid-range smartphone, which will first be available by invitation and then also in "free sale" from September. It has a 6,55″ AOLED 120 Hertz display powered by a Snapdragon 778G+. The device is available with 128 or 256 gigabytes of internal memory and 8 RAM. The device has three cameras, two of which are on the back. The main camera is a 50 megapixel lens from Sony, more precisely the Sony IMX766, which was also used in the Nord 2. A 50 megapixel lens also functions as an ultra-wide angle, but one from Samsung, the JN1. The front camera has a resolution of 16 megapixels and also comes from Sony, the IMX471. The Phone 1 also has 15W wireless charging to power the headphones, for example ears (1) charge. The software runs Android 12 with "Nothing OS 1" on the smartphone, the manufacturer promises a 3-year OS and four years of security patches (every two months).

The "Glyph" on the back of the device is special. These are multiple LEDs that can light up in sync with the music being played, ringtones, or notifications. The device is available in black and white, the RRP is 469 euros for the standard version. If you want more memory, you pay 499 euros. The device does not come with a charger, this can be purchased for a few euros in the shop. Although the charger supports 45 watts, the phone's 4500 mAh battery (1) can only be charged with a maximum of 33 watts.
