Notre Dame: Apple is committed to rebuilding
On Monday Notre Dame Cathedral caught fire in Paris. The fire has now been extinguished, but the damage is great. The entire top floor has been destroyed. Apple wants to advance the reconstruction with a donation.
On Monday, firefighters were busy putting out the fire in Notre Dame until late at night. And even if a tower of the already very old cathedral has collapsed, they want to restore it completely. Now Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, comes out on Twitter to express his pity to those for whom Notre Dame was a symbol of hope. He also promises that his company will work to rebuild the building. You can see the tweet here:
We are heartbroken for the French people and those around the world for whom Notre Dame is a symbol of hope. Relieved that everyone is safe. Apple will be donating to the rebuilding efforts to help restore Notre Dame's precious heritage for future generations. ??

The tweet does not reveal exactly how much the amount will be. In addition to Apple, several other companies and billionaires have made generous donations to the fundraiser. So far, over a billion donations have been collected. According to French President Emmanuel Macron, the cathedral should be rebuilt in five years.
