OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has an exclusive The Verge in advance about the upcoming flagship satprochen and some rumors confirmed. That's the OnePlus 7 Pro well fixed, it will also have a "groundbreaking" display and 5G.

With the OnePlus 7, it shouldn't just stay with a smartphone, but it will become one Pro-Give smartphone. This will be more expensive than the "standard smartphone" but offer some plus points. It should have a better display and also support 5G. While OnePlus isn't disclosing pricing yet, expect this model to be priced somewhere close to Samsung's Galaxy S10, Huawei's P30 Pro and Apple's iPhone XS will lie.

Display three times as expensive to buy

The new panel costs a lot more to buy - OnePlus has never spent so much on a display, says the CEO. "When I saw it for myself for the first time, I was stunned," explains Pete Lau. This is how the upcoming display in the OnePlus 7 Pro extremely sharp and liquid - "super-smooth and very crisp". Nevertheless, one did not want to go into the exact specifications of the display.

Current rumors speak of a possible 90Hz display with QHD + resolution. Then you have certainly fulfilled the promise of "super-smooth". The whole thing would be a huge step forward, if only because such touchscreens with this refresh rate are not yet standard in mobile phones these days.

OnePlus 7 (Pro) getting more expensive

The new OnePlus 7 will be more expensive than the OnePlus 6T, which in turn was more expensive than its predecessor. Lau is now faced with the challenge of convincing loyal OnePlus fans that another jump in price will be worth it, considering how OnePlus phones have left their original position as cheap flagship killers. As an extra, you would also like to offer 5G in the premium model. However, you don't want to advertise this feature a lot - after all, 5G is only in the starting blocks and almost no one currently has such a network available.

In general, with the upcoming OnePlus 7 series, you want a compromiss out on price and performance offer. The OnePlus 7 for those who want to spend less but can do without premium features like a better display and 5G. It should be the other way around Promodel for more money also offer premium equipment. On May 14th one becomes the Devices most likely imagine.

All current rumors about the OnePlus 7 (Pro) you will find by the way here.

With that, OnePlus died for me! In the past, they were always a good and cheap alternative to Samsung, Huawei or Apple.
