OPPO joins the CSA (Connectivity Standards Alliance). This was previously known as the "Zigbee Alliance". I will explain to you exactly what that means in this article.

OPPO joins the Connectivity Standards Alliance with immediate effect. Companies such as Apple, Google and Amazon are already part of this alliance.

What does the Connectivity Standards Alliance actually do?

The CSA ensures uniform Internet of Things (IoT) standards. These are increasingly being used in smart homes. The head is called “Matter”.protokoll what this is used for. This in turn serves as the basis for the entire Internet of Things in the Smart Home area.

New core member of the CSA

OPPO is now playing a leading role in developing further unified connectivityprotocol. OPPO itself would like to promote the development of "Matter" together with the other members, as well as related technologies for their own IoT ecosystem . use

More IoT for Europe?

At the moment we have only seen smartphones, fitness trackers (and smartwatches) and headphones from OPPO in Germany and Europe. Can we see more IoT devices in this country in the future?

The company's own router "OPPO 5G CPE T1a" was recently presented in Switzerland and is now also being sold there. OPPO also offers smart TVs and loudspeakers in its home country of China. But will we see them in Germany in the next one or two years? So far that is in the stars, I guess that OPPO would like to be known primarily as a mobile device manufacturer in Germany.

There is already one in China Website for OPPO's IoT and how to imagine it. A combination of headphones, smartphones, smartwatch and smart TV.
