Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G: Repair hardly possible

Samsung presented in early August amongst other things the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G. Well disassembled iFixit the smartphones and shared the experience.

iFixit is known for disassembling new smartphones, as it usually reveals things that you would otherwise not see. At the end of a teardown, every smartphone is given a “reparability index”. This indicates how easily the device can be repaired - 10 is the best score, 1 is the worst. The grade 10+ 5G only got 3 points here. But why is that?

Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G: Bad Repairability

The back of the Note 10+ 5G is made of glass and is firmly attached to the frame, which means that it cannot be removed easily. This requires a heat gun (breaking the connections) and small levers to remove this backing afterwards. This is the first thing iFixit doesn't like because the glass on this Prozess can easily break.

Removing the battery is also more difficult than one might hope. This is namely covered by board cables and is permanently installed. This means that you have to remove the cables first before you can get to the battery with a little effort. Repairing the display is also very cumbersome. These require a complete dismantling, which can cost a lot of money. So the bottom line is that you should take good care of your new note.
