Samsung Galaxy S21 FE presented: The more expensive Galaxy S21 with drawbacks

Samsung gets the attention of the CES 2022 of course not to be missed and presented the Galaxy S21 FE. This misses out on some of the S21's data sheet and is priced higher than that of its brother.
As usual, Samsung invited to the keynote at this year's CES and their new ProProducts shown for 2022. With in Las Vegas that was - yes expected - Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. To make the offer a little more tempting, there is still the for all interested parties until January 31, 2022 Galaxy Buds2 to the value of 150 euros free on top. In addition, Samsung grants, as usual, a cashback of up to 250 euros when sending in the old smartphone.

Who thought that - usually the Snapdragon-Processor in Samsung smartphones is mostly reserved for US countries, at least we never saw it. The Galaxy S21 FE comes with the octa-core Snapdragon 888 from Qualcomm. This also comes in the US models of the Galaxy S21 for use, with us it was the Samsung Exynos 2100. The graphics unit is the Adreno 660 chipset.

The display measures 6,4 inches diagonally and is therefore slightly larger than that of the S21 model. It also comes with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels (FHD +) instead of 2400 x 1080 pixels (S21) and supports HDR 10+. Under the hood there is an even weaker 6 GB of RAM, together with 128 or 256 GB of internal storage. On the back made of plastic there is then the camera module with three lenses: 12 MP (f / 1.8) wide angle, 8 MP (f / 2.4) 3x zoom telephoto and 12 MP (f / 2.2) with 123 degrees wide angle. Videos are possible with 4K at 30 or 60 FPS and 1080p with 30 or 60 FPS. The front camera has a resolution of 32 megapixels.
The battery is also equipped with 4.500 mAh and supports 25W fast charging, wireless charging with 15W and wireless sharing of the battery at 4,5W. Extras such as 5G, dual SIM, Android 12, Bluetooth 5.2 and IP68 are also on board.
Prices and availability
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will be available from January 11th at an MSRP price of 759 euros in the colors graphite, olive, lavender and white. The 256 GB storage version costs 826 euros. As usual, it is now available on the Samsung website can be pre-ordered.
