Samsung Galaxy Tab S6: This is the new flagship tablet

Samsung today spontaneously introduced a new Android tablet called the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6. This comes as the successor to the Tab S5 - the high-end series. According to the data sheet at least, the tablet has a lot of power, but also a decent price.
So it still seems to be worth it: the introduction of new tablets. Samsung unveiled one today in a pre-event in front of the Galaxy Note 10. So let's get straight to the technical data. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 has a display diagonal of 10,5 inches. The Super AMOLED display generally has a resolution of WQXGA (2560 × 1600 pixels). Under the hood there is a Snapdragon 855, together with 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage. This is expandable.

The dimensions of the new tablet are 244,5 x 159,5 x 5,7 mm. It also weighs 420 grams. The camera on the back comes in a twin pack with 13 and 5 megapixels (wide angle). Photos of selfies dissolve in 8 megapixels. The battery is 7.040 mAh and can be recharged using wireless and fast charging. The typical equipment with Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and USB Type-C can of course also be found here. WLAN with 5 GHz is also supported.
As some smartphones already have, Samsung has integrated the fingerprint sensor directly into the display. This also means that the classic home button is no longer necessary and the whole tablet is therefore borderless. But there is no notch - that much margin was still left. Audio has also been increased and four speakers from AKG have now been integrated. The collaboration also makes Dolby Atmos possible on the tablet.
... and of course the S-Pen is one of them
As is usual with a Samsung tablet, an S-Pen is also included here. This now sticks to the back of the tablet by means of magnets and can be charged wirelessly by the tablet. The associated battery of 0,35 mAh should easily hold out for a few hours of writing or drawing.

Actually, it doesn't sound too bad for a current tablet. We have stereo sound, S-Pen and otherwise decent performance. Let's get straight to the somewhat daunting point of this tablet: the price. This is 6 euros (RRP) for the Wi-Fi model (128 GB RAM, 749 GB internal storage). The variant with LTE (SIM card slot) and 8 GB & 256 GB internal memory then costs 899 euros (RRP).
Pre-orders will be possible from August 15, 2019 in the colors Mountain Gray, Cloud Blue and Rose Blush. It should be available in stores and online on August 30, 2019.
