It was only at the CES in Las Vegas that Skagen, a subsidiary of Fossil, presented the Skagen Falster. The Skagen Falster 2018 followed at IFA 2. All information about the new smartwatch.

Small and compact

The small aluminum case of the Falster 2 is now waterproof, so that you can dive up to 30 meters deep with the watch. The watch should also withstand salt water. With the bracelets you can choose between several versions - for me the black silicone bracelet is the clear winner here. When I had the Falster 2 on my arm, I noticed that it is very light and feels very comfortable with the silicone bracelet.

The Snapdragon Wear 2100 works in the smartwatch. Before you get the Falster 2, however, you should consider that the new Snapdragon Wear 3100 will be presented in a few weeks, with better performance and longer battery life.

GPS was installed to record routes and navigate with Google Maps. In combination with the latter one can use the heart rate sensor. Thanks to the built-in NFC chip, payments via Google Pay are now also not possible Problem more. Skagen Wear OS from Google installed as the operating system. The update with the new UI, which will appear in a few weeks, will then also be available for this smartwatch. The Skagen Falster 2 has been available since August 30th at a starting price of 299 euros.
