Sonos doesn't just have the speakers that we do usually test, in the range, but also ceiling speakers. The company has now added another model to this portfolio.

Sonos' new eight-inch (203 millimeters) in-ceiling speaker joins an existing six-inch model. The magnetic steel cover is the same on both, so both models can be operated in the same room. This is only available in white, although it can be painted over.

The loudspeaker was developed and calibrated together with the Sonance company. It has a special, enlarged woofer, a high excursion driver and a 30 millimeter tweeter. An optimized waveguide was also integrated. This should make it sound nice and balanced and natural.
