TalkBand B2 from Huawei
Today the new TalkBand B2 from Huawei was presented. Last year the predecessor TalkBand B1 was presented.
The TalkBand B2 is a combination of a headset and a tracker. There is a version with a leather strap and one with plastic bracelets. There is also a luxury version with three leather straps in black, dark brown or light brown. The tapes are 15 mm thick.
There are three sizes of the bracelet: small, medium and large.
The power button is on the side. There are two buttons on the front that you can use to unlock the Bluetooth headset.
With the new TalkBand2 you can track your sleep, ride a bike and go for a run. You don't have to tell TalkBand what you are doing: it recognizes for itself whether you are jogging, cycling or hiking. There is also an app in which you can see the daily steps and time rankings.
The TalkBand B2 also supports voice control, and you can also play music from your smartphone via the new Huawei, or play back and record other things.
The operating system here is not Android Wear, but its own OS.
If, for example, someone calls on your smartphone, you can see it immediately on the TalkBand, and you can take out the headset (which is in the band). So it's all just one device.
Huawei has also made provisions for lost smartphones: you can use TalkBand to let your smartphone ring at any time.
Finally, it should be mentioned that the TalkBand2 is compatible with all smartphones. Both with iPhones (from iOS 7.0) and of course with Android (from Android 4.0).
The Huawei TalkBand B2 will be available in various countries from the end of April. (see image)
