TCL also has new ones today as part of CES 2021 Proproducts presented. Among other things, the Chinese have officially presented two new smartphones, consisting of the TCL 20 5G and TCL 20 SE.

These are mid-range devices that differ significantly from one another in some aspects. In the following lines you can find out where the differences lie, how much they cost and when they will come onto the market.

TCL 20 5G: Specs

The 5G model is equipped with a 6,67 inch LC display, which has a sufficiently sharp resolution of 2.220 x 1.080 pixels and is only interrupted by a small punch hole. Android version 10 will still be used as software. Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 5G, which we already know from the OnePlus Nord N10 5G. There is also a choice of 4 or 6 GB RAM and 128 or 256 GB flash memory, which can be expanded via a micro SD card. The battery has a solid 4.500 mAh capacity and can be charged with up to 18 watts.

On the back we see a familiar picture. With Mist Gray and Placid Blue, the manufacturer offers two very eye-catching colors. Just as striking is the camera hill in the upper left corner, which has space for three sensors: a 48 megapixel main camera, 8 megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and, last but not least, a macro camera with 2 megapixels. The front camera in the small punch hole has a resolution of 8 megapixels.

Price and availability

The TCL 20 5G will be available in Europe as early as February for 299 euros. It is available in the colors Mist Gray and Placid Blue.

TCL 20 SE: Specs

The TCL 20 SE is somewhat weaker overall, which is already evident in the display: with a diagonal of 6,82 inches, it is a bit larger, but it only has a resolution of 1.640 x 720 pixels (HD +). In addition, the front camera is not sitting in a small hole, but in a teardrop-shaped notch. In the software, however, there are no differences, Android 10 also runs here.

Another downside compared to the 5G model is under the hood, because only a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 is at work here. This is a rather weaker one Processor, for example, also at OnePlus Nord N100 is used. It is supported by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of flash memory with a micro SD card procan be easily expanded. The only advantage compared to the 5G variant is the permanently installed 5.000 mAh battery, which can also be charged with up to 18 watts. Finally, let's take a closer look at the cameras. TCL even installs four sensors here, including a 48-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera and two additional sensors, each with 2 megapixels for macro shots and depth effects.
