The Google Pixel 3 (XL) and the Google Home Hub are the beginning
The beginning of this week was all about the “Made by Google” event, where the new Pixel 3 (XL) was shown. Already am montag we had presented you with all the facts about the upcoming smartphone. Most of them actually came true on Tuesday. Although we from TechnikNews are actually against posting news with lots of rumors and leaks, we didn't want to withhold a summary from you.
On Tuesday evening, Google revealed the secret and presented three new devices. On the one hand, the Google Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL, together with the Google Home Hub. The Pixel 3 XL is the first smartphone from Google to appear with a notch for the first time. While the Pixel 3 manages with a slightly thicker edge and no notch, this also has a display diagonal of 5,5 inches. According to Google, the camera of the two devices in particular should have improved, and AI features should now also allow further zooming in images. Microsoft stopped rollout of Windows 10 October update (1809)
We also reported at the beginning of the week about the stop of the rollout of the Windows 10 October update with version number 1809. A serious error is said to have resulted in data loss for some users after the upgrade. Although Microsoft can, according to some information, save this data, the distribution of the update was temporarily paused. On Wednesday, however, the update appeared again and the distribution now seems to be slowly starting again.
The waterproof gaming smartphone is called the Razer Phone 2
After Google, the presentation of the Razer Phone 2 followed on Thursday. A few hours before the event, we already had all the information about the new smartphone here in the blog. Before that, some details had already been leaked on Amazon Italy, which revealed numerous details of the Razer Phone 2 in advance. As always, it is doubtful whether this happened unintentionally.
With the Razer Phone 2, a waterproof gaming smartphone with the latest hardware was presented this year. In addition to the latest Snapdragon 845, there is also 8 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage on top. The 4000 mAh hour battery can now also be charged wirelessly (QI) through the glass back. Samsung presents the Galaxy A9 (2018) with a 4x camera
Surprisingly, Samsung has not presented a smartphone with a notch this year, but now with a quad main camera. The camera battle for most lenses still doesn't seem to be over. So now with the Galaxy A9 (2018) with the Snapdragon 660 and 6 GB of RAM on solid hardware, the focus is clearly on the camera. Telegram with server failure on the weekend
After a few weeks, Telegram had to deal with a server outage this weekend. Users from parts of Europe and Africa were unable to access messages and media in the messenger. They kept getting the message "Connecting..." and it was not possible to send messages. According to the company, the problem had been resolved after just under 2 hours, although not all users noticed it immediately.
Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro: The rumor mill prodelt
We have been receiving rumors about the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro over and over again in recent days and weeks. We have deliberately not published every new detail so as not to post unnecessary - sometimes incorrect - information. To start this Sunday, we have published a rumor overview for you with all the details, leaks and pictures of the upcoming two flagships from Huawei. Among other things, there is supposed to be a fingerprint sensor under the display, at least on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
Huawei Watch GT: First official details known
On Tuesday, Huawei will also present a new smartwatch together with the two Mate smartphones. It should go by the name of Huawei Watch GT and come with its own operating system from Huawei. Among other things, this could give the smartwatch a longer battery life of up to 30 days. Unfortunately, there is also a possible incompatibility with payment services such as Google Play.
