TechnikNews Weekly # 048: boon will be discontinued, WhatsApp down, Tizen OS 4.0 and more

Another week would be ticked off. So it is time again for all the important news of the week this week TechnikNews Weekly to summarize.

boon is discontinuing service

boon was pretty much the only app that made it possible to pay simply with a smartphone in Austria. This week all users received an email stating that the service will be switched off from March 31st. Until then, you should have your credit paid out.

WhatsApp down

WhatsApp once again had to deal with a downtime this week. Around 19:30 p.m. on Tuesday, it was noticed that communication via the service was no longer working. You couldn't really do anything about it, you just had to wait and see. At 20:44 p.m., it appeared WhatsApp had that Proproblem fixed again.

Tizen OS 4.0 is being rolled out

Samsung started rolling out Tizen OS 4.0 for the Gear Sport, Gear S3 Frontier, and Gear S3 Classic this week. The update is around 299 megabytes in size and brings a whole range of innovations with it. For example, it is now possible to track indoor workouts via Samsung Health. In addition, the Quick Settings menu has been revised a little. All other innovations are listed in the article.

The date and place for the Google I / O 2019 have been set

The day before yesterday came to light when the Google I / O 2019 will take place. The events are scheduled to take place between May 7th and 9th in the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View. It is expected that Android Q and some new features for the Google Assistant will be shown.

Details on Microsoft's upcoming game streaming service

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella spoke at a press conference this week,Project xCloud". This is supposed to be a cloud gaming service through which games like Halo or Forza can be streamed. The first tests should take place later this year, so that the service can probably be launched next year.
