Hundreds of thousands of Microsoft Exchange servers hacked
The security gap around Microsoft's Exchange Server communication center has caused huge waves. It all started with the official "publication" of the vulnerability on March 3rd. Last week there were numerous reports about upcoming ransomware on hacked servers, information from the BSI about around 20.000 vulnerable servers in Germany and much more. In our article we have compiled all the important details for sys admins and anyone interested. If you missed the event and have not yet installed an update, it is too late: the attacker has definitely taken root deep in the system.
A data center at OVH burns down completely
While we're on bad news - there is some news to be announced at OVH as well. A UPS caught fire on Wednesday night and affected numerous servers. A data center (SBG-2) burned down, SBG-1 was partially hit and the other buildings by the way were lucky again. Do you want to know more about it? Click into our article:
Upcoming Xiaomi ban lifted in the USA
As we detailed in our FAQ article here have described, sanctions against Xiaomi would have come into effect this year. That would have meant that investors would have to sell the shares or shares in the Chinese company from November 11, 2021. A US court does not consider these sanctions to be sufficiently justified and is lifting the upcoming sanctions completely. The US Department of Defense did not adequately justify this and exceeded its powers. We have explained in detail what this means for users in our news article.
