Notes on Ultra Wideband Technology in macOS Monterey
The U1 ultra-wideband chip has been in the iPhone for several generations. Above all, this ensures faster AirDrop and AirPlay and, since last year, has also allowed the localization of AirTags. It is also possible to use “Where is?” to find a switched-off iPhone. The first beta of macOS Monterey 12.3 now suggests that Apple could soon integrate such a chip into the Mac.
Nintendo Switch now more successful than the Wii
With the Nintendo Switch, the manufacturer once again brought a completely new one Proproduct on the market. Now this could repel the Wii from the throne of the best-selling Nintendo consoles. In the fourth quarter of last year, it sold 10,67 million units. This brings total sales to 103,54 million units, compared to 101,63 million units for the Wii.
New emojis for Windows 11 still in the works
Windows 11 should have come with redesigned 3D emojis. In the end, nothing came of it, instead Microsoft delivered the old version again. Many therefore wondered whether these will be included in a later release. Apparently that will indeed be the case. At least the designer responsible at Microsoft announced on Twitter that work on the implementation is still in progress.
