Microsoft Surface Duo 2 shows up in the first pictures

The Surface Duo 2 could appear in the next few months, now the first pictures have appeared.
With the Surface Duo, Microsoft re-entered the “smartphone business” in 2020, with a foldable that is still unique today. The criticisms were outdated hardware and a price that was too expensive. This could now be changed by a successor, the first pictures should now have appeared.
The pictures are from an unknown source, but were taken from a YouTube channel called "Tech Rat" picked up. He says the images appeared in June, we cannot verify this. The colleague of Windows Central came across this video and wrote that they can verify the images from their own source; the images show an “almost finished Microsoft Surface Duo 2 prototype”.

The biggest change can be seen in the camera setup. While the first duo has relied on a camera on the inside, the successor will rely on three sensors on the back. Windows Central speaks of a telephoto, an ultra-wide-angle and a wide-angle camera. There will also be a lot going on inside. The hardware in the first Surface Duo was more from 2018, according to the report, Microsoft will rely on the Snapdragon 888 (thus also 5G) this year, and NFC will also be installed this time. For the first time, a black color is also planned in addition to the white color.
In terms of price, it is still unclear whether Microsoft will increase this (because of the improvements) or whether it will be identical. The release could be aimed for in autumn 2021.
