OnePlus officially confirmed today that the OnePlus 8 will come with wireless charging. Thanks to the "Warp Charge" technology, this should also be quite fast. So far, the manufacturer has not yet supported wireless charging with any of its predecessors.

I just had in my review about the OnePlus 7T Pro mentions that wireless charging would be a nice touch. The wish has now been heard: im OnePlus Forum and via Twitter the feature has now been announced in the successor.

OnePlus 8: With “Warp Charge 30 Wireless” wirelessly charge to 50 percent in 30 minutes

The smartphone should be able to be charged wirelessly to 30 percent in 50 minutes. As the name suggests, the wireless charger will support a maximum output of 30 watts. All other QI chargers usually only support up to 5W. The forum also confirms that these other QI chargers are also supported. If you have a charging pad with the "10W EPP" standard, you will also benefit from 10W charging power on your OnePlus 8. procan fit.

Unfortunately, it remains unclear whether wireless charging will only be available on the OnePlus 8 Pro. However, one could assume that perhaps only the Pro model can be charged quickly with “Warp Charge Wireless 30” and the standard model will only be charged at a slow speed.

No details have been given about the price either. However, the wireless charger will be officially presented together with the OnePlus 8 series on April 14th. The livestream will be on the OnePlus website to see.
