There are currently reports of a temporary outage on WhatsApp, causing many users to have trouble using the popular messaging service. It seems that WhatsApp is currently down and many users worldwide are affected. The use of telephony, media and other things is currently not possible.

While such disruptions can be annoying, such problems occur frequently with messaging apps like WhatsApp. The app is used by millions of people every day, meaning that even minor outages can have a major impact.

The reason for this is still unknown. WhatsApp has not yet made any statement on the issue. Users on Twitter, as well as via allertoerungen.de report problems. So it's not your fault. Restarting the phone doesn't help in this case either.

Update at 22:59 pm: WhatsApp is now available again.
